By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command has deployed adequate number of it's personnel for the forthcoming Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections in Zamfara State. Commandant Muhammad Bello Muazu, the state commandant of the Corps stated this while addressing the combat ready officers and men in the state command headquarters Gusau.  This was contained in a statement signed by the commands spokesman, Mr Ikor Oche SC and made available to newsmen in Gusau. By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna People's Democratic Party's stakeholders under the auspices of the PDP Vision Movement, has debunked the rumour making the rounds that the gubernatorial candidate of People's Democratic Party (PDP), Isa Ashiru had signed an agreement with the leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to allocate 80 per cent of political appointments to the Association, if emerged. The group called on the public to disregard the allegation, adding that it is an attempt to further divide the state along religious line by some politicians who do not mean well for the state. Bilbis Challenges INEC For Refusing To Declare Him Winner Of Zamfara Central Senatorial Seat

The Zamfara central senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon, Ikira Aliyu Bilbis, has today challenged the state Independant National Electoral Commission for refusing to declare him on his victory in the last Zamfara Central senatorial election held on 25/2/2023.  Ikira Aliyu Bilbis stated this at a press conference held at the Dauda Lawan Dare  Party Office in Gusau, the state capital.  The senatorial candidate stated that the Zamfara State INEC  Commissioner, Prof. Ahmad Galadima was sent to the state to  conduct free and fair elaction of both President and National Assembly. The election which was held during their 7th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference 2023, at Labour Office in Gusau where the new leaders were elected after the dissolution of former leaders, and new leaders will now run  the affairs of the chapter for the next four years. Announcing the result in Bungudu on Monday at the INEC collation center for the constituency, Prof. Nasiru Sani said Zubairu scored 37,852 votes against his closest opponent and incumbent lawmaker Shehu Ahmed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 25,393 votes. By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has been defeated by the opposition; People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential elections at the state level. El-Rufai who suffered a defeat, lost to PDP with a margin of 155, 068 votes, as his party; APC came second on the list with 399,293 votes, winning just two Local Government Areas out of the 23 LGAs in the state. The Returning Officer, Zamfara West Senatorial Election, Prof. Rufus Tinuola announced the results at the collation centre in Talata-Mafara. Tinuola said Yari scored 147,346 votes against his closest opponent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bello S-Fagon, who scored 58,832 votes. Late Arrival Of Election Materials, Bvas Problem Stall Voting Process In Some PU Of Kaura Namoda

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau Late arrival of election materials in some polling units at Kauran Namoda local government has caused total delay in which some electorates who are desparates to cast their vote have started loosing confidence . The affected poling units include, Red block 035 poling unit kaura, where electoral officers came  at around 12:30, pm, and that of Kyambarawa 016, and their Bvas machines are not in good order, as they are not working properly. Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu as the All Progressives Congress Candidate for Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in zamfara state. Delivering judgement today, the two man panel of judges,lead by Justice Tijjani Abubakar said the Court has dismissed the appeal instituted by  Hon. Abdul Rahman Muhammad Tumbido.
