Zamfara State Government Donates 5M To Islamiyya School

In an efforts to ensure that Zamfara pupils get sound and quality education for both western and Islamic education, Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun has donated Five Million naira to Jama'atu Izalatul Bidi'a Wa Iqamatus Sunnah for construction of projects at Madrasatul Tahfizul Qur'an Malja'us Sunnah Daki Takwas, Gummi local government area.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Directorate of Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Yusuf Abubakar Zugu Wazirin Gummi presented the donation during the graduation walimat for 93 students of the school and lunching of fund raising organized by Management of the school.

In a Speech at the occasion, the governor assured of his sustainable  support to religious activities in the area of construction and rehabilitation of mosques and islamiyya schools.

He appealed to Islamic scholars and students of the school to pray fervently for the resuscitation of peace not only in the area but the state as a whole.

Earlier speaking, the head teacher of the school Malam Yusuf Suleman said the occasion was organized by the school management in collaboration with JIBWIS Jos Headquarters, Daki Takwas Branch in order to celebrate the feat attained by 93 students of the school who memorized the entire Qur'an and some who memorized some portions of the Qur'an.

He highlighted some of the problems facing the school such as lack of adequate classrooms and water facility which necessitated the need to raise fund from wealthy individuals, corporate organizations and government.

Highlights of other donations realized at the occasion had shown that Former State Governor Dr. abdul'aziz Abubakar Yari donated two million, Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs and Chief Launcher of the event, Hon. Yusuf Abubakar Wazirin Gummi, one million naira and a borehole as endowment to his parents.

Other donors are Alhaji Siddi Daki Takwas pledged to construct a block of classrooms and office while Emir of Gummi Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi five hundred thousand naira.

Further more, Gummi LGA Sole Administrator and his council donated one million five hundred thousand naira, Hon. Sani Takori Gummi two hundred thousand naira, Bukkuyum Local Government Council Sole Administrator, Hon. Basiru Mu'awuya, Hon. Ahmad Usman Gummi, Hon. Ummaru Musa Gummi, one hundred thousand naira each while Alhaji Bello Bankaura and Dr. Garba Gwalle fifty thousand naira each.

Other speakers at the event included Chairman Ulama JIBWIS Jos Branch Gummi Local Government area Malam Umar Mai Shehi and Alhaji Usman A. Garba Garkuwan Gummi where they thanked Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun for assisting the school and prayed Allah to help him accomplished the 2023 goals.
