Zannan Bungudu Wins Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency Seat, Assures 90% Of His Earnings To Women Empowerment

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau The  All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Abdulmalik Zubairu, has won the Bungudu/Maru federal constituency seat in Zamfara. Announcing the result in Bungudu on Monday at the INEC collation center for the constituency, Prof. Nasiru Sani said Zubairu scored 37,852 votes against his closest opponent and incumbent lawmaker Shehu Ahmed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 25,393 votes. Sani said other candidates that participated in the election were, Hamza Abduljalil of NNPP – 1180 votes, Bara’u Alhaji-Garba of NRM – 185 votes, Umar Abdulrahman of APP – 68 votes, and Manir Yahaya of APGA – 206 votes. “Having satisfied the requirements of the law, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Abdulmalik Zubairu is hereby declared winner and is returned elected,” he added. Breaking: El-Rufai Loses Kaduna To PDP

By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has been defeated by the opposition; People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the presidential elections at the state level. El-Rufai who suffered a defeat, lost to PDP with a margin of 155, 068 votes, as his party; APC came second on the list with 399,293 votes, winning just two Local Government Areas out of the 23 LGAs in the state. According to the results, PDP won in 14 Local Government Areas with 554, 360 votes, while Labour Party who maintained third position secured 294, 494 votes, winning seven LGAs. NNPP had 92969 votes. By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau Former Zamfara state governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has won Zamfara West Senate position under the All Progressives Congress (APC). The Returning Officer, Zamfara West Senatorial Election, Prof. Rufus Tinuola announced the results at the collation centre in Talata-Mafara. Tinuola said Yari scored 147,346 votes against his closest opponent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bello S-Fagon, who scored 58,832 votes. He said other candidates were:  AA Party scored 65 votes, Ibrahim Musa of ADC scored 150 votes, Ahmad Lawali of APP scored 75 votes and Aliyu Yahaya of LP with 111 votes. Late Arrival Of Election Materials, Bvas Problem Stall Voting Process In Some PU Of Kaura Namoda

By Aminu Abdullahi Gusau Late arrival of election materials in some polling units at Kauran Namoda local government has caused total delay in which some electorates who are desparates to cast their vote have started loosing confidence . The affected poling units include, Red block 035 poling unit kaura, where electoral officers came  at around 12:30, pm, and that of Kyambarawa 016, and their Bvas machines are not in good order, as they are not working properly. By this ugly development voters remain stranded for some hours waiting for the arrival of materials.  Late arrivals of these election materials to the affected  polling units constituted a major problem to the exercise Some of the stranded voters at the effected centers who expressed  dissatisfaction with the situation, blamed INEC for what they saw as poor arrangement. INEC Assures Free, Fair And Credible Elections Ever In Nigeria

By Gambo Abubakar Kaduna  The National Electoral Commission has reassured the people of Kaduna state of the conduct of credible elections ever conducted in Nigeria.  The statement was made by the INEC Administrative Secretary Kaduna state, Alhaji Mohammad Auwal Mashi, during  the distribution of sensitive materials to the twenty three local government electoral officers in the state, held at Central Bank Of Nigeria in Kaduna recently.
